I know a guy who came here from Russia. He graduated because he gave his teacher eggs and flour in exchange for a high school diploma. The teacher gave him 3 blank diplomas for the food.
He filled the first one out and gave himself all straight As but his mother scolded him because it was so phony looking that nobody would ever believe it was real. So he used his second one and gave himself all Cs and Bs. He still has the spare blank one if he ever needs it.
So I can’t understand why teachers are all gung ho enthusiasts for teaching children this is how things should be done. Someday, they will come to see the mistake, but what can you do at that point?
